Digistore24 is a reseller: it buys your product and sells it to the buyer, so it takes the payment, invoices, handles VAT, refunds and buyer support, and pays you and your affiliates. Through its US entity that costs 7.9% + $1 a sale.
The catches are cash flow and chargebacks. 10% of your earnings is held for 60 days, payouts go only to a company, and each chargeback costs $50. If you sell to Europe, or want a reseller that does the back office for you, it's a strong choice.
This review is for vendors deciding whether to sell through Digistore24. We make ElasticFunnels, which supports Digistore24 as a merchant, so every Digistore24 fact below comes from its own help center, opened on 19 October 2026. If a Digistore24 charge on your card brought you here, skip to what buyers see.

How the reseller model works
Every Digistore24 sale is two contracts. You sell the product to Digistore24, and Digistore24 sells it to the buyer. That's why the buyer's invoice, VAT and refund all come from Digistore24 and not from you.

Digistore24 runs four reseller entities, in Germany, the US, the UK and Ireland, and you sign a contract with each one you want to sell through. The US entity sells worldwide outside the EU, the UK, Switzerland and Norway; the European entities take care of VAT for buyers there (Digistore24 reseller overview). ClickBank works the same way; the Digistore24 vs ClickBank comparison sets the two side by side.
Digistore24 fees
Registering is free. Through Digistore24 Inc., you pay a margin on every sale and a few event-based charges.

| Digistore24 Inc. charge | Amount |
|---|---|
| Each sale | 7.9% + $1 |
| Each sale, chargebacks above 1% | 9.9% + $1 |
| Each refund | $0.75 up to $10, $1 above |
| Each chargeback | $50, or $40 when its prevention service catches it |
| International wire payout | $40 |
| PayPal (US) or ACH payout | $2.50 |
Source: Costs on Digistore24 Inc.. Two details matter. Chargebacks are charged per transaction, so a buyer who disputes the front end and two upsells costs three fees. And the flat $1 weighs most on cheap front ends: on a $27 product it's another 3.7 points of margin.
Payouts and the security deposit
This is where Digistore24 asks the most patience.

- The security period. 90% of your earnings on a sale becomes payable two weeks after the purchase for products under €300, or 30 days after it for more expensive ones.
- The security deposit. The other 10% is held for 60 days, so Digistore24 can cover refunds.
- Payout dates. Payouts run on the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th of the month; you pick one, two or all four. The 7th has a minimum of 50, the other dates 200, and international transfers 250, in your payout currency. The money can take up to ten business days to arrive.
- Companies only. Digistore24 pays out only to companies, so even a sole trader needs a VAT ID or tax number on file.

Product approval and affiliates
- Products are approved before they sell, by each reseller you contract with, and so are marketplace entries and affiliate support pages.
- You set the refund period. On the US entity it's 60, 90 or 180 days, and you can still refund outside it.
- Affiliates find you on the marketplace and request a partnership, which you accept by hand or automatically. You can invite named affiliates to an approved partnership directly.
- Commission is yours to set, and a change applies to new sales only; Digistore24 can't change it retroactively on a past sale.
Order forms, upsells and IPN
Digistore24 hosts the order form, which you design, and runs the upsell flow after it. The sales page and every upsell page are pages you build, each with Digistore24's buy and decline buttons on it. Its own feature list adds order bumps, split tests and payment plans.
Each sale reaches your other tools through an IPN connection, with ready-made connections for common email and membership tools and a generic one for anything else. For your own campaigns, add ?ds24tr= and a tracking key of up to 127 characters to a promo, content or order-form link, and sales show it under Reports, Transactions.
If you're a buyer: a Digistore24 charge
Many searches for a Digistore24 review come from people who see Digistore24 on a card statement. Because Digistore24 resells products for many independent vendors, a charge from it means a product was bought from one of those vendors, and Digistore24 is the company that sold it to you.
- To find the order, look for the order confirmation email, which carries the order ID.
- To cancel a subscription, open Digistore24's "Cancel or revoke contract" page, enter the order ID and your last name or email, and follow the steps. Business buyers contact Digistore24 support instead (Digistore24, cancel a subscription).
- To ask for a refund, use the buyer support link in the confirmation email if the vendor enabled one, or contact the vendor or Digistore24 support, within the product's return period.
- Watch for fakes. Digistore24 keeps a help page on phishing emails that copy its name; check the sender before you click.
Selling on Digistore24 with ElasticFunnels
Digistore24 runs the order form and the money. The pages in front of it, and knowing which of them sold, are yours. In ElasticFunnels, with Digistore24 added as a merchant:
- Buy links built for you. Buy, upsell and downsell tags turn into Digistore24 links for the product you mapped, with the visitor's click ID sent as
ds24tr. - Every IPN on its click. Payments, refunds, chargebacks, missed rebill payments and subscription cancels or resumes update the order and land on the ad, page and variant that sent the buyer. Set a SHA passphrase and IPNs with a wrong signature are rejected.
- Abandoned carts from Digistore24 arrive as abandons that can start an automation.
- Split tests of up to 5 variants under one URL, judged on Digistore24 sales, so the affiliate link never changes.
- Per-affiliate reports from the affiliate on each order: revenue, refunds and EPC.
Setup takes your Digistore24 vendor ID, the IPN URL pasted into Digistore24, and your product IDs mapped. The Digistore24 vendor integration page lists every event it records, and the Digistore24 merchant guide has the steps.
Is Digistore24 worth it for vendors?
Yes, if you sell digital products to an international audience and want Digistore24 to do the back office: VAT, invoices, refunds and buyer support are a lot of work to own. It costs more per sale than JVZoo or WarriorPlus, and the deposit and payout rhythm slow your cash.
- Model your cash flow before launch. With 10% held for 60 days and payouts on fixed dates, a fast launch can leave you paying for ads weeks before the money arrives.
- Price front ends with the flat $1 in mind. At $7 or $9 it takes a real share of every sale.
- Treat chargebacks as a budget line. At $50 per transaction, a buyer who disputes a front end and two upsells costs $150 in fees on top of the money refunded.
- Put a tracking key on every link you control. Without it, Digistore24's reports tell you an affiliate sold, not which of your own campaigns did.
Digistore24 trades a higher fee and slower cash for a reseller that carries the legal and support side of every sale. For many vendors selling across borders, that's the right trade, as long as the funnel in front of it is built to convert.
