  1. Alert: the service spots the dispute at the bank
  2. Match: it is tied to the original order
  3. Refund: by your rules, or by an agent
  4. Respond: the alert is answered, the chargeback avoided

FAQ

Chargeback prevention FAQ

How does chargeback prevention work?

A chargeback alert service spots a dispute when the customer starts it with their bank, before it is filed as a chargeback. ElasticFunnels matches the alert to the original order, and you refund it, automatically or by hand, so the chargeback never lands on your merchant account.

Which chargeback services does ElasticFunnels connect to?

Dispute.com and Chargebacks911. They can run side by side, and each is assigned to the merchants you choose.

What are Ethoca and CDRN alerts?

Ethoca (Mastercard) and Verifi CDRN (Visa) are networks that warn a merchant about a dispute before it becomes a chargeback. ElasticFunnels receives them through Dispute.com and can refund the order automatically.

What can the auto-refund rules do?

Set a maximum refund amount and the alert types to refund, cancel the subscription on refund, and flag the customer as a chargebacker so they are not billed again.

What is Visa VAMP?

The Visa Acquirer Monitoring Program watches dispute and fraud ratios per merchant. Refunding disputes on an alert, before they become chargebacks, is one of the main ways merchants keep that ratio down.

Which gateways does it work with?

NMI, Stripe and Klarna, where ElasticFunnels can issue the refund directly. ClickBank, Digistore24 and BuyGoods handle chargebacks in their own systems.

Stop chargebacks before they post

Alerts, auto-refunds and representment on the same record as the order.
