This policy covers elasticfunnels.io, our marketing website. A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. We also list items stored in your browser's local and session storage, because they work the same way.
1. The short version
- This site loads no third-party analytics or advertising tags today: no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no Clarity, no TikTok.
- It sets a few first-party cookies to deliver pages, keep them secure, remember your cookie choice, and credit a partner who referred you.
- If we add analytics or advertising tags, visitors in the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked first, and nothing loads until they accept. We will list any such tag here.
2. Necessary cookies
These are needed for the site to work and to respect your choices. They are set without asking.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
elasticfunnels | Session cookie set by our page platform. Keeps one visit together, for example which version of a page you were shown, and protects forms against misuse. | 3 hours |
ef_consent | Remembers your cookie choice (analytics yes/no, marketing yes/no) so we do not ask again. | 12 months |
ef_cc_geo | Remembers whether you are in a region where we ask for consent, so the check runs once a day rather than on every page. | 24 hours |
st_res_<id> | Only on a page running a split test: keeps you on the same version of the page when you come back. | 7 days |
_ef_ref, and _ef_ref / _ef_ref_counted in browser storage | Only when you arrive through a partner's link. See section 3. | 90 days (cookie); until cleared (local storage); this tab (session storage) |
3. The partner referral cookie
Some visitors reach us through a partner in our Partner Program, using a link that carries the partner's code (?ref= or ?via=, or an elasticfunnels.io/r/ link). When that happens, the site:
- stores the partner's code in the
_ef_refcookie, on.elasticfunnels.io, for 90 days, and a copy in local storage in case the cookie is lost; - counts the click once per visit, by loading a small image from
app.elasticfunnels.io, and marks it counted in session storage (_ef_ref_counted); - adds the code to the sign-up links on the page, so that if you register, the partner is credited.
Why we treat it as necessary. It holds only the partner's code, never anything about you. It is set only when you follow a partner's link, it is read only by elasticfunnels.io and our own app, and it is not shared with advertising networks or used to profile you. Its one job is to make sure the person who sent you gets paid what we promised them. If you do not want it, you can delete it in your browser at any time; the only effect is that the partner is not credited.
4. Platform cookies
This site runs on the ElasticFunnels page platform, the same one our customers use. On every page it serves, the platform sets:
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_ef_did_local | A random identifier for this browser, set by the platform's server. It lets the platform recognise the same browser on a later visit, and link visits together for its first-party visitor statistics. It contains no personal details and is not shared with advertising networks. | Up to 12 months |
The platform also records how pages on this site are used, such as page views, clicks, hovers and scrolling, and sends them back to elasticfunnels.io, so we can see which pages work. This is first-party: the data stays with ElasticFunnels and is not shared with advertising networks.
5. Analytics and marketing
None at present. This site does not load Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft Clarity, TikTok or any other analytics or advertising tag.
Our cookie banner is ready for them: if we add such a tag, it will only load after you accept the matching category (Analytics or Marketing), and Google tags will run in Google Consent Mode with everything denied until you choose. We will add each tag to this page, with its cookies and durations, before it goes live.
6. Other services this site loads
These services deliver parts of the page. They do not set cookies for us, but like any web request they receive your IP address and browser details:
- Google Fonts (
fonts.gstatic.com): the typefaces. - BunnyCDN (
b-cdn.net): images, stylesheets and scripts. - Cloudflare: the network in front of this site. We also ask Cloudflare which country your connection comes from, to decide whether to show the cookie banner. Cloudflare may set its own security cookies when it screens traffic.
7. The ElasticFunnels app
When you sign in at app.elasticfunnels.io, the app sets its own cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms (for example elastic_funnels_session and XSRF-TOKEN), plus the platform's _ef_did_local. The same cookies can be set when a partner click is counted (section 3). They are necessary for the app to work.
8. Cookies on your own funnels
If you are an ElasticFunnels customer, this policy does not cover the pages you publish. Your pages carry the platform cookies described above, plus whatever tracking scripts and pixels you add. You decide what runs there, so you are responsible for your own cookie notice and for any consent your visitors' jurisdiction requires. See our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy.
9. Your choices
- Change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, or open cookie settings here.
- Delete cookies in your browser's settings. Deleting
ef_consentbrings the banner back. - Block cookies in your browser. The site still works; a partner who referred you may not be credited.
10. Changes and contact
We update this page whenever the cookies on the site change. Questions: [email protected]. How we handle personal data in general is in our Privacy Policy.
