What the Twilio integration does
The integration adds Twilio steps to ElasticFunnels automations. A funnel event starts the automation, and the Twilio step sends the message, places the call or checks the code.

How to connect Twilio
Your credentials are tested against your Twilio account when you save.
Create an API key
In the Twilio Console, go to Settings → API Keys & Tokens and create a Standard key. Copy the key and the secret.
Connect Twilio
Paste the Account SID (starts with AC), the API key (SK) and the secret in Settings → Integrations → Communications → Twilio.
Add numbers and Verify
Buy numbers in Twilio for SMS and calls, and create a Verify service for codes. Both load into ElasticFunnels by name.
Add a Twilio step
Build an automation: choose the trigger, add a Twilio step and map the customer phone.

Twilio integration FAQ
What can the Twilio integration do?
Send SMS and MMS, place outbound voice calls driven by a TwiML URL, start and check Twilio Verify codes, and read message and call status, all as steps in ElasticFunnels automations.
Does the ElasticFunnels call center run on Twilio?
No. The call center connects to its own phone switch, such as ViciDial, Five9 or Ytel. The Twilio integration adds messaging, calls and verification to automations.
Which Twilio credentials do I need?
Your Account SID plus a Standard API key and its secret, created in the Twilio Console. ElasticFunnels tests them against your account when you save.
Who pays for messages and calls?
You pay Twilio directly at Twilio rates. ElasticFunnels does not mark up Twilio usage.
Do text messages to US numbers need registration?
Yes. US carriers require A2P 10DLC registration for application-to-person traffic. Register your brand and campaign in the Twilio Console before sending production traffic.
