Let buyers pick free bonuses or gift them

Your offer says "pick any 2 free gifts" and "send them to a friend". When the checkout can't do either, the free items get faked as $0 order bumps, the friend's address goes into a spreadsheet, and the parcel ships to the buyer anyway.

The enemy is a bonus offer the checkout doesn't understand.

Each product, or each package on an offer page, now carries its own free bonus products and a pick rule: the buyer picks exactly N, picks up to N, or gets them all included. If the buyer picks nothing, they get the first N in your order. The server checks every pick when the order is paid, so a buyer can't take a bonus you didn't offer or more than the rule allows.

Bonuses you mark as giftable can go to a different address in their own package. The buyer ticks Send my free bonuses to a friend and enters the friend's name and address. The friend's email is optional, and the friend is never notified. That creates a separate gift order with its own order ID, linked to the buyer's order. It shows under the new Gift tab in Conversions and in the export, and it never counts as revenue or a sale. Gift shipping can be free, the same as the main order's shipping, or a fixed price. Refunding the main order refunds the gift too, and stops its shipment if it hasn't gone out yet.

Set it once on the product, then change it where an offer needs something different: per offer page, or with a Set Checkout Bonuses node in a checkout page's page events. The picker and the gift option are part of the ElasticFunnels checkout. Orders from affiliate network checkouts such as ClickBank or BuyGoods can't collect a pick or a gift address, so they get the default set.

Try it: open a product, go to the Bonuses tab, click Add bonus, tick Can ship to a different address (gift) on the ones a friend can receive, then under Checkout rules turn on Offer these bonuses on the checkout and Allow sending bonuses to a different address.
