Use a step's fields before you test it

You add a DeBounce step to check the buyer's email and a Continue If after it to stop on bad addresses. The Continue If field reads Unknown step until you test the DeBounce step with a real address.
The enemy is testing one step just so the next one can see its fields.
Integration steps you have not tested yet now list their fields in the variable picker, from an example of what the step returns. A DeBounce Validate Email step offers Valid, Validation Result, Message and the rest straight away, and the field reads Valid · Validate Email instead of Unknown step.
The examples cover 36 steps across email platforms, email sending, CRMs, email checks, messaging and Google Sheets. The values are made up and only show the shape of the data. Once you test a step, its real result takes over, and a test only ever sends real tested data to a provider.
Try it: in an automation, add a DeBounce Validate Email step and a Continue If after it, then click the Continue If's Data field.
