Email customers who match a live audience

A new automation trigger follows up by email, CRM or webhook when a known customer matches one of your live audiences, at most once per visit.
Email customers who match a live audience

A customer who bought last month comes back and opens your pricing page twice in an hour. Your live audience "Came back to pricing twice" catches it on the page, but once they close the tab, nothing follows up.

The enemy is a buying signal that ends when the visit ends.

Automations now have an On Matched Live Audience trigger. Pick one of your live audiences and add the steps: a Send email, a CRM update, a webhook. It runs when a visitor matches that live audience and the visit already carries the email of one of your customers, for example someone who bought and came back. Anonymous visitors never start it, and it runs at most once per visit. Who gets it works as on the other audience triggers: First time only by default, or every time at most once per N days (1 to 90).

The steps get the customer's email, name, phone and address, plus the audience name, the page where they matched and the time, under the same names as On Entered Audience, so one email template works for both. Send email goes out as marketing, so consent, unsubscribes and the suppression list are checked when it sends.

Know the limits. A visit that matched before the customer was known does not start it later, and leads who filled in a form but never bought are not customers yet. To react on the page itself (a popup, a section, a redirect), keep using the On Audience Match page event: it works for anonymous visitors too. Use both on the same audience if you like.

Try it: go to Automations, create an automation, pick the On Matched Live Audience trigger under Audiences, choose a live audience and add a Send email step.
