What the Klarna integration does
Klarna runs as a redirect checkout, like PayPal. ElasticFunnels creates the Klarna order with the product and bumps, sends the buyer to Klarna, and records the sale when they return.

How to connect Klarna
Test in sandbox first: sandbox and live use separate Klarna credentials.
Add a Klarna merchant
In Settings → Merchants, click Add Merchant and pick Klarna as the gateway.
Paste your credentials
Choose sandbox or live and paste the Klarna API username and password for that mode.
Pick the checkout page
Select the checkout page the Klarna merchant belongs to. It is required for Klarna.
Show the Klarna tab
Set data-klarna on the checkout card panel to the Klarna merchant, then place a sandbox order.

How does Klarna work on an ElasticFunnels checkout?
The buyer picks the Klarna tab and clicks continue. ElasticFunnels creates a Klarna order, the buyer completes it in the Klarna checkout, and returns to your funnel where the sale is recorded.
Can I use one-click upsells with Klarna?
No. Klarna is a redirect checkout, so there is no stored card for a one-click charge. Order bumps on the checkout page are added to the Klarna order.
Which Klarna credentials do I need?
Your Klarna API username and password. Sandbox and live each have their own pair, and you pick the mode on the merchant.
Can I refund a Klarna order from ElasticFunnels?
Yes. A refund issued in ElasticFunnels is sent to the Klarna order management API for the original order, in full or in part.
What does ElasticFunnels charge on Klarna payments?
A 0.5% processing fee on revenue that runs through gateways ElasticFunnels operates, Klarna included. Klarna bills its own fees separately.
