What it does
Sales tax at checkout has to be right or you eat the difference at filing time. TaxJar calculates rates in real time using the buyer billing address and your nexus configuration.
Order data syncs back to TaxJar for filing automation. Refunds and partial refunds adjust filed amounts automatically.

Setup
- Get your TaxJar API token from Account → SmartCalcs API.
- In ElasticFunnels, go to Settings → Integrations → Ecommerce & Tax → TaxJar. Paste the token.
- Configure nexus states or countries you collect tax in.
- Assign product tax classes if you sell mixed categories.
- Run a test purchase from a taxable address and confirm the rate.
