Pinterest Ads conversions
Sales from your Pinterest ads go back to Pinterest from the server, matched to the ad click, so Pinterest sees real orders and not only what the tag caught in the browser.

What the Pinterest Ads integration does
Pinterest captures the click. ElasticFunnels records the order. When postbacks are on, each order from a Pinterest click is sent to the Pinterest Conversions API with its value and hashed buyer details.
- The epik click ID is saved on the click when the buyer lands
- Orders go to Pinterest as checkout events with value, currency, order ID and item count
- Email and phone are SHA-256 hashed before they leave ElasticFunnels
- The link builder adds Pinterest campaign, ad group and creative macros to your URLs

How to connect Pinterest Ads
By default an order is only sent when the click has an epik. A force-send option sends it anyway, at lower match quality.
Get your Pinterest credentials
Create an access token for the Pinterest API and copy your ad account ID from Ads Manager.
Connect Pinterest Ads
In Settings → Integrations → Ad Platforms → Pinterest Ads, paste the token and ad account ID and turn on conversion postbacks.
Add the Pinterest tag
Add the Pinterest tag to your pages in Pages → Tracking Scripts so the epik is captured.
Build your ad links
In Tools → Tracking → Tracking Link Builder, choose Pinterest Ads under Auto Cost Update and use the link in your ads.

Pinterest Ads integration FAQ
What does the Pinterest Ads integration send?
Orders. Each sale from a Pinterest click goes to the Pinterest Conversions API as a checkout event with the order value, currency, order ID, item count, hashed email and phone, and the epik click ID.
What do I need to connect Pinterest Ads?
A Pinterest API access token and your Pinterest ad account ID. You paste both in the integration and switch on conversion postbacks.
Does ElasticFunnels import my Pinterest ad spend?
No. The integration sends conversions to Pinterest. Spend is not synced from Pinterest today.
What if the epik is missing on a click?
The order is not sent by default. Turn on force send to send it without the click ID. Pinterest then matches on the hashed email, phone, IP and user agent.
