TaxCloud integration for sales tax
ElasticFunnels asks TaxCloud for the sales tax on each checkout to a US address and adds it to the order before the customer pays.

What the TaxCloud integration does
At checkout, ElasticFunnels sends the destination address and the order lines to TaxCloud, gets the tax back and shows it in the order summary. The tax amount is stored on the order.

How to connect TaxCloud
Get API credentials
In TaxCloud, copy your API login ID and API key.
Connect TaxCloud
Enter both in Settings → Integrations → Operations → TaxCloud. Turn on sandbox while you test.
Pick it on the merchant
In the merchant Tax configuration tab, choose TaxCloud as the tax provider and decide whether shipping is taxed.

Does the TaxCloud integration cover orders outside the US?
No. It calculates sales tax for US addresses. For international addresses, use the Avalara integration.
What happens if TaxCloud does not answer?
ElasticFunnels tries your next tax integration. If none returns a rate, the order goes through with no tax and a warning is logged.
Does ElasticFunnels file my sales tax returns?
No. ElasticFunnels calculates and collects the tax at checkout. Filing is handled outside ElasticFunnels.
Can I use TaxCloud and TaxJar together?
Yes. Each is its own tax integration. ElasticFunnels tries them in the order they are listed and uses the first one that returns a rate.
