Cybersource integration for ElasticFunnels
Cybersource is Visa's payment gateway, and banks often set merchants up on it when they open a card account. Connect your Cybersource merchant ID, and Microform takes the card on funnel checkouts you build in ElasticFunnels.

What the Cybersource integration does
For each checkout, ElasticFunnels asks Cybersource for a capture context tied to that page's address. Microform mounts the card number and security code fields from it, returns a transient token, and the server charges the token.
- The first payment saves the card with Token Management Service, and ElasticFunnels keeps only the token
- Upsells charge that token in one click; renewals are linked to the first payment, as card networks expect
- A payment Cybersource holds for fraud review counts as declined, and ElasticFunnels releases the hold at once
- Refunds and voids made in the Business Center reach the order through notifications set up on save
- Your Cybersource merchant ID can run one checkout domain while NMI or Stripe run the others

How to connect Cybersource
Saving the merchant does not test the keys, so place a sandbox order first. Cybersource chargebacks are handled in the Business Center.
Generate a REST key
In the Business Center, open Payment Configuration → Key Management, generate a REST shared secret key and copy the key and the secret.
Add Cybersource under Merchants
In Settings → Merchants, click Add Merchant, pick Cybersource and paste the merchant ID, REST key ID and shared secret for sandbox or live.
Check Token Management
Make sure Token Management Service is on for the account. Upsells and renewals need it; ask your Cybersource account manager for live.
Pick it on your checkout
Set the merchant on your checkout domain or funnel and pay in sandbox with test card 4111 1111 1111 1111.

Cybersource integration FAQ
How does Cybersource work on an ElasticFunnels checkout?
The card panel loads Cybersource Microform with a capture context made for that page. The buyer types the card number and security code into the Microform iframes, and ElasticFunnels charges the transient token they return.
Which Cybersource credentials do I need?
Your merchant ID and a REST shared secret key: the key ID and the secret. The secret is shown once in Key Management, so copy it when you generate the key.
Do one-click upsells and renewals work with Cybersource?
Yes, when Token Management Service is on. The first sale saves the card as a TMS token, upsells charge it in one click and renewals are charged on schedule, linked to that first payment.
Why do the card fields reload after a while?
Cybersource ties the secure fields to the page and expires them after about 15 minutes. If a buyer waits that long, the fields reload and the buyer types the card again. Nothing is charged in between.
Where do I handle Cybersource chargebacks?
In the Business Center. Cybersource sends chargeback notifications only with message-level encryption, so they stay on the Cybersource side, while refunds and voids are synced to the order.
Is Payer Authentication (3D Secure) part of the connection?
No. Payments go to Cybersource without a Payer Authentication step.
What does ElasticFunnels charge on Cybersource payments?
A 0.5% processing fee on revenue that runs through gateways ElasticFunnels operates, Cybersource included. Cybersource bills its own fees separately.
